Daddy, Please turn your face to me now. Hear my cry for your help. Meet me here, father, as I crawl into your lap and bury my face into your shoulders and cry. Hear me. Receive me. Hold me…comfort me. Whisper hope in my ear. Tomorrow is a new day. I am forgiven. I am worthy. I am loved. Papa, I have no enemies, as I am your cherished one. But tonight, my heart is heavy, my brow is furrowed. My frustrations rise against me lord. My sorrow will not cease. Forgive my impatience, my intolerance. If I love, Lord, why am I angered? If I understand, Lord, why am I jealous? If I am content, Father, why do I envy? If I am resting in your peace, why am I stressed? Father, your words comfort me in my times of need, or doubt, or frustration. Speak to me, Daddy. Give me the peace that surpasses all understanding. Give me wisdom beyond my years. Create in me a clean heart, O God! I long to be joyful in you! Father, take my mind, heart, soul and spirit. Cleanse me from the sorrows deep within. Your precious blood has blotted out my transgressions, Lord. Your stains have covered my sins. I am able to rest in you, Lord, to take comfort in your arms. Your words guide me. They strengthen me. They protect me from myself. I cannot stand in your way, Lord-nor do I want to. You are The Almighty! You reign supreme! You alone are worthy of all honor, glory, and dominion- you alone are worthy of my praise! You protect me, Father. You comfort me and give me peace. You are my rock, my solid foundation. You are truth. Love. You fill me with joy, Lord! There is no room for hate, or bitterness or anger. For you, my Christ, are light-and no darkness can overcome your presence. You are pure, perfect. You are in me, therefore I am in you. I am a new creation. I have been transformed by the renewing of my mind. I seek you alone. For it is only You who gives me hope. I am your treasure. You created me and gave me a purpose. I am set apart for you-to be your willing vessel. I am willing, father! Use me as you will! Lead me, and guide me. May your Holy Spirit flood my heart, mind, body and soul! I long to be used by you! For your glory….to accomplish your plan, as you have created before the dawn of time! Your words are steady and true. Your words always go out and produce fruit-your words never return void! Where I seek you, I will find you! Wherever I am, there you are also! I am never alone. For you are with me always, until the end of time. You comfort me and give me peace. I trust you. You protect me. You are my shield. You are my past, present, and future.
